Introduction
My name is Mallory Dudley and welcome to my capstone portfolio! I am excited to show all of my work in the Human Services program through a culminating portfolio that has shown my growth of theories, knowledge, skills, and writing in the last two years. I have met all of the requirements of the Council for Standards of Human Services Education (CSHSE) and the National Standards for a Baccalaureate Degree in Human Services at Western Washington University.
I am a double major in Human Services and Music (Piano) at Western and it has been a long journey to graduation. I have many hopes for this field to incorporate my music within my Human Services career as music acts as a therapeutic tool for healing.
In my time at WWU I have completed three internships. I assisted the Community Paramedic Program for the Bellingham Fire Department, was an investigative intern at the Public Defender, and a music therapist/choir director for Brookdale Senior Living. With this wide variety of placements, I hope to continue in fields related to criminal justice, health, and music and art therapy. I hope to continue work and education with art, as I want to incorporate art and music into my lifestyle and career for therapy and creative thinking.
